Chinese furniture exports pick up as Guangdong makers sell whole renovations
Furniture exports rose 8.7% in September from August while ceramics and lighting fell. Makers offer packages with design, door-to-door delivery and plants near the client.

China exported 345.69 billion yuan of furniture and parts from January to September 2026, up 2.2%, according to customs data of October 14 compiled by China Timber. September reached 38.73 billion, 8.7% above August’s 35.61 billion. Other home categories fell: ceramics dropped 29.9% (80.5 billion) and lighting and parts 5.7% (191.16 billion).
Phase two of the 140th Canton Fair, devoted to home goods and closed on October 27, had about 11,000 exhibitors and 2.376 million products, according to New Express. Foshan, in Guangdong, exported 15.42 billion yuan of furniture through September (+13.2%).
The paper describes a shift in sales model. Guangdong Xinpinai (新品爱), a custom cabinet maker, added doors to match cabinets and has plants in Indonesia and Saudi Arabia. Foshan Jingcheng (敬城) sells the entire renovation (tiles, lighting, cabinets, marble and windows) with door-to-door logistics; it grew from 300 to more than 2,500 staff since early 2025 and serves more than 120 countries. Seagull Housing (海鸥住宅) produces in Vietnam for the US, and Jindi (金迪), with a Vietnam base, signed about US$2 million in purchase intentions with Thai clients.
CSP take: for developers and hotel chains, the “whole home” Chinese supplier simplifies buying but concentrates risk. Before closing, check who is liable for each item, lead times by category and which plant ships each lot. This reading is ours, not the sources’.
