A Chinese tent maker already produces in Vietnam and Bangladesh as a Brazilian buyer asks for quotes at the Canton Fair
China’s outdoor goods exports reached US$1.399bn in the first half. A Brazilian buyer asked for tent prices at the Canton Fair.

Brazilian buyer Maria Antonia Gomes, at her first Canton Fair, asked for prices on several camping tents from Chinese makers and told China News Service the products fit Brazilian demand, the agency reported on November 2. According to the China Sporting Goods Federation, outdoor goods exports reached US$1.399 billion in the first half of 2026.
Taizhou Runyuan (润元) brought a quick-assembly hunting tent that fits several car models. About 90% of orders come from abroad, overseas sales grew about 10% in the first half and the company already has plants in Vietnam and Bangladesh, according to manager Wang Zhigang.
Guangdong Baichuangyuan (百创源) sells camping products and multi-tools in more than 50 countries and booked about US$50 million in overseas sales in the half; Turkish buyers ordered samples of a multi-tool. Shaanxi Zhongsheng Tianze (中盛天泽) showed carbon-fibre trekking poles and gets about 70% of orders outside China, in the US, Russia, the UK and Italy.
CSP take: moving part of production to Southeast and South Asia changes the conversation on origin and tariffs. When quoting tents and gear, ask which plant the product ships from and which certificate of origin goes with the cargo. This reading is ours, not the source’s.
