A plush toy that speaks 60 languages fills a Chinese factory’s schedule to December
At the Canton Fair, Shenzhen and Dongguan makers swapped traditional toys for AI-powered plushes. US and European buyers have already ordered tens of thousands.

AI toys were the highlight of the toy section at phase three of the 140th Canton Fair, China News Service reported on November 1. Panda and cat plushes hold voice conversations and express emotions with LED eyes, lights, sound and movement.
Shenzhen Xindite Electronics (新迪泰), which has made children’s toys since 2010, connected its plushes to large AI models and says they speak more than 60 languages. US and European clients have already ordered tens of thousands of units, and foreign trade manager Zhou Jingxia says orders are booked to the end of December.
In Dongguan, Junou Toys (俊欧) is on its third generation of AI plushes, with emotion recognition and a virtual-pet function; the company says the line lifted total sales this year. Chaobang Electronics (超邦) launched an AI companion figure and drew interest from buyers in France, Portugal and Argentina. A South African buyer replaced part of her traditional toy list with an AI panda and planned a factory visit.
CSP take: the category is new and has no market standard yet. For importers, the key questions are where voice data is processed, which AI model is used and whether the product passes local safety certification. This reading is ours, not the source’s.
